Allergy Relief

Kenalog (triamcinolone acetonide) can be used to help manage seasonal allergies, also known as allergic rhinitis. Allergic rhinitis is characterized by symptoms such as sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, itching, and nasal congestion that occur due to an allergic reaction to pollen from trees, grasses, or weeds.

In some cases, particularly if allergies are severe and not well-controlled by other treatments, Kenalog may be administered as an injection. This can provide systemic relief from allergic symptoms by reducing overall inflammation in the body.

One time 40mg Injection is often sufficient to provide relief for an entire year. Occasionally a second injection may be needed after 6 months.

While it can be effective in managing seasonal allergies, there are potential side effects to be aware of. These include local irritation, dryness or irritation of the nasal passages, and, in rare cases, systemic effects such as changes in blood pressure or blood sugar levels.
